The breed we raise at Canaan Life Farms is the Bronze turkey. They are the original and traditional turkey. They present with distinctive black feathers and they are better tasting turkeys. Bronze turkey is an older breed of turkey. They are naturally slow growing turkey and their meat is dense and characteristically tasty with an intense flavour. Most of the turkey served around tables at Easter, Thanksgiving and Christmas are the Bronze breed of turkey. We and our partners raise our turkeys the traditional way and we are proud to do so. We are ethical farmers!

Yes, all our birds are free range and they are free to forage for food from the surrounding farm grassland. The turkeys are allowed and encouraged to live more naturally in a secure farm enviroment with access to grass, land, water, fresh air and much more.

No, we do not! We and our partners raise our flock in small batches at any one time, per bird type. For us it is about quality, not quantity.

All our turkeys are raised in a slow-grown fashion for a minimum of 180 days - (six months) which is longer than the length of some commercial strains in the supermarket which are mass produced and raised for meat quickly. Our birds get to enjoy a full and quality life and are humanely handled throughout. They are culled at maturity, dry plucked and hung for an additional 10 days before being dispatched to our customers. This ensures dense meat, superior quality and good tasting birds at your table.

Periodically we will bring in turkey from our farming partners especially when we have larger orders to fill which exceeds our own capacity. Buyers are notified & advised if requested. The quality of the birds, are the same as our own at Canaan Life Farm and they are raised to the highest standard. Of course the Canaan Life Farms guarantee remains in place for you our valued customer.

Yes, they are supplied fresh for Easter, Christmas and Thanksgiving. They are not frozen at all! They are dispatched to schedule.

Orders between £50.00-£99.99 will incur a charge of £9.95.

At Canaan Lfe Farms, we always do our best to provide accurate information to all our clients regarding all aspects of our farming effort and pricing, however, we cannot guarantee exact weights because our birds & animals are free to roam, as such may present variable weights when culled. The purchase price shown on our website is an approximate weight range. Final adjustments will be made once your bird/animal has been selected and properly weighed. Payment will then be refunded or further charges may apply to your order once processed. (Variation is typically slight with a possible variance of between 500g-750g depending). Final price shown on our website may differ somewhat to the price shown at checkout. We do our best to ensure that our customers do not lose out under any circumstance.
